Invitations have gone out

For my Masqued Ball in two weeks. If you do not have anything to wear, something will be provided. Fancy dress, lace is optional (for some of you), masks are a must. Food will be provided as will music. The music will start with waltzes and the like, segueing up through the years as the night progresses. If you do not know how to waltz or do the Charleston, think Jazz hands are good enough, or think bump and grind is the height of modern dance...then you should arrive early, there will be lessons.

I'm really looking forward to it. Now if only I could talk them into installing webcams in the enclosures during the build...

I hope so. I'll have to ask the next time I talk to the planners. I've been spending my time in the quarantine area bonding with the wolves and training the people who will look after them on my days off.

It would be silly of them to overlook it considering how many people want to see them.

I completely agree. The ones at WCC are viewed by people all over the world.

The world is a bonus; what is important is Japan. These wolves are a valuable part of our heritage.

That they are. And it'll be great for people who live too far from one of the zoos to be able to see them.

That, too! You know, when we start doing tours past them, I can set up a time for you to bring the daycare kids if you like? That way they can come meet the wolves, assuming the wolves are being sociable.

U...only if it is okay. I wouldn't want you to get in trouble. The children will be happy just seeing them on the screen.

Ah, it'll be fine! The more traffic we get for the cameras and in person, the better it'll be for the wolves. Plus, it's educational.

The wolves won't get scared? They've been living away from people all their lives.

Well, that's why we don't know how sociable they'll feel. So far, the Honshus have been really friendly, we think they may have lost their fear of humans. The Hokkaidos aren't terrible shy, but they are more cautious, so they'll be more apt to hide.

With them in the news, a lot of the children are drawing pictures of them. Arashi's is very cute.
